We played in a big tournament this weekend against a lot of teams and came fifth overall – we got a medal!

Last week in Barcelona the European Baseball championships was held in Montjuich. We went to see the semis and final, won by Nettuno of Italy. Here I am with Jeff Farnsworth, the Nettuno pitcher. They gave me a pro bat too!

We visited daddy’s old home in the south of France on the 5th January. It was so cold – I picked up some ice from the village stream!
Sophie is dead

Sophie died today, aged 14 years. She had been diagnosed with renal failure two weeks ago, and deteriorated quickly, to the point where she lost 300 grams over the last 48 hours.
We decided to have her euthanised to save her from considerable suffering.
Sophie was found in the Gold Souk in Dubai as a baby. She travelled with our other cat – Mistle – to Brunei, Singapore, Norway and Spain.
Goodbye Sophie, and thank you for the 14 years of companionship.

Sophie is sick (renal failure) and she needs medicine – anti-vomit drug, water therapy (drip), vitamins – all by injection. She is dehydrated and has lost a lot of weight but we hope she will live a good while longer.
Christmas Day

Christmas day! Today we had a nice relaxing day. Could not do too much because Sophie is sick and we have to make sure she gets her medicine. We went for a long walk down to Barceloneta beach where one of my favourite climbing frames is!

We took a short drive up to the Natural Park de Montseny today. Near the top there was too much snow on the road to go further, so we got out and played in the snow. I made this snowman!
